A family saga in Dominican Republic

The collection of news of Junot Diaz, published in France in 1998 ("Los Boy ", 10/18), met a big success of respect. The short and marvellous life of Oscar Wao won National Book Award, then Price Pulitzer on 2008. Born in Dominican Republic in 1969, raised in New Jersey, Diaz saw in New York, where he is professor of writing.

Oscar is huge. In the bottom of the class, insulated and definitely out of blow, he dreams about girls and about adventures and harvests only disappointment. The only thing which he can make, it is to write and to read fantastic stories. Exiled in his suburbs of New Jersey, he dreams to become Dominican Tolkien.
