:: History::
Algeria, on 1959. Military operations intensify. In the high mountains Kabyles, Landowning (Beno t Magimel), an idealistic first lieutenant, takes the command of a section of the French army. He meets the sergeant Dougna (Albert Dupontel), the disillusioned serviceman there. Their difference and the grim reality of the ground are going quickly to put both men to the test. Lost in a war which does not say its name, they are going to discover that they have as worse enemy than themselves. The film hushes up about nothing, or of the horror (the torture), or the complexity of this war which many people want to forget now. Many sequences of battle are impressive. Emphasised by the lifeless colours which underline the moral dilapidation of troops and contrast with the majestic aspect of kabyles landscapes, the scenario of Patrick Rotman takes all its force. One particularly treats on this edition Collector: the audio comments, the interviews of the team of the film and of war veterans, the log of the film, of the documentary in the film: The g n se of the film La g n se du film sources: M6 Video
